belief in time

now none of what you'll read here will be entirely fair 'cause if fair is fair nobody can make us feel/believe anything we don't want to. and like the parent's always said, 'life just isn't fair.' it truly is up to us to be responsible for ourselves & let folks react as they may. you often will find though that most kind people will bear in mind compassion & respect for their sisters & brothers. however, based on personal definition & varied interpretation, shit often hits the fan.

can anybody know why beliefs in time & fleeting thoughts are so convincingly expressed & then gone? it is a huge cunundrum for me & one of my biggest beefs with the man upstairs. for something to have been believed/conveyed/stated so convincingly by the "sayer", just for that one moment alone... never-to-return, scares the crapola out of me.

for example:
  1. 'don't you think we would have the cutest kids?'
  2. 'i despise arrogance'
  3. 'we're strong enough to make it through anything'
  4. 'i would never let a relationship interfere with our friendship'
  5. 'i promise'
  6. 'wait for me'
  7. 'if i can't have you, i don't want anybody else'
  8. 'you are different & more special than any of my past girlfriends'
  9. 'i would never make copies of the house key without letting you know first'
  10. 'i told my mom to save her pennies for our wedding'
  11. 'i want you to meet my brother'
  12. 'i'll call you'
  13. 'i told your best friend & your brother that i bought you a ring'
  14. 'i think cheating is tacky'
  15. 'the best is yet to come'

i have to feel the same thing about a hundred times before i'll let you know for certain. and i also am almost physically incapable of telling somebody something just 'cause they want to hear it (so if i'm silent, you know i disagree). heeding this is too much for some. i know, i get it. usually i thank god opposites attract... but the 'belief-for-the-time-being' concept is something i just can't fathom aspiring to.
